This was a top 25 poll, not Survivor - NCAA Basketball.

We played very well, and the flyers had the flu.

If I remember correctly, the final score was 72-71. It was a high scoring game. For Fordham to put up 71 points on the road against any team like that is commendable. I think due to things like this, we should look forward to next season. Fontan has gotten considerably better from last year and he has much more help this year. I just don't want anyone that is lambasting the team right now to reappear once the team starts doing well pretending as if they had supported the team all throughout.

Maybe I missed something.  I don't see people lambasting the team, just the coach and the administration.  I'm sure we all support the players and hope the team does well.

Well - saying that they'll get blown out every game before the season even starts is indirectly taking shots at the team and the players in my opinion. Jio wanted out of this mess but he's still back (obviously because he had no other choice), but we should all be happy that he's back. And I think he's improved. He has a nice supporting cast around him this year. Things could have been a lot worse. I think everyone should expect this team to play competitively (i.e not get blown out by the time first half is over). I don't care if the team wins zero games this year but as long as they try, keep the score respectable, and have to something build on for next season, I think that in itself is a good reason to cheer for the team. There are a few people on this board that think otherwise. I think it's okay to criticize the administration and the coaching staff, but I don't want people to count out what the team will do or are capable of doing this season before it even starts. Call it being disillusioned but I'm not ready to give up on the team before the tip off.
