In spite of the doubts about the coaching abilities and sports administration I believe the team deserves support in the upcoming season.  As many alums and students as possible should attend and support our returning players and new freshman team members. I will be there on Nov 13.

Well put. I've been trying to say the same. Let's give the team a shot this year.

I hear you 64 and 08. I'm there next Friday at opening game, just like I was last year. Hopefully the results will be different -- we'll see.

Ask the players - the fans made a big difference in giving us home court advantage, and it was largely students who packed the gym.  But then, that was another era, a different world, and we had better coaching.

In those days, the majority of the students were commuters and they still packed the games.  I know I commuted each day from Manhattan and I remember not getting home some nights until 2 or 3 AM.  Now, most of the students live on/near campus and don't have to travel home after a game.  The bottom line is that it was a different ERA, with not so many distractions.  No internet, cable channels, Ipods, e-mails, texting, etc.  Life was simpler then.

Nevertheless, I think with intelligent marketing and promotion from the administration, the students could again become involved. But with this administration, I just don't see it.

Let's hope there are more players on the bench than in the stands.  Roll Eyes Of course, given the size of DW's doghouse you never know.
