Lastly - in 1981, there were employees of the university that still cleaned blackboards and "clapped" erasers in Keating Hall. There was an older gent from the Arthur Avenue community who took a lot of pride in his job and always had a smile on his face for the students : I'd like him at the table!

If we're going that route then Elvis Pretzel and Sal from Pugsley's are on the list as well.

Pete was a better after dinner speaker than an Athletic Director. He drove away many Alumni Supporters during his tenure. I didn't come back for over 25 years. Some never returned.
