If someone could report what went on/was said at the Hard Rock Tip-Off Reception being held tonight, I believe, I'd appreciate it. If it was held on Tuesday, ditto.Thanks. GO RAMS!

It is tonight.  I will be there, but am likely only staying for the first half.  It runs from 7 to 9 PM and my attention needs to be elsewhere at 8 PM.

Nothing replaces success in the revenue sports.  Nothing.  That's not to take away from the success in the Olympic sports - they do matter.  It isn't a replacement for success in the flagship sports.

Just went through Times Square and theres a big Fordham sign on their marquee and on the sides of it too.
Took a pic with my phone from the cab. It doesn't really do it justice but you get the idea.  Pretty impressive.

I was coming in to ask the same question.  Being opposite Game 6 of the WS probably did not help.

If you left click on the photo it automatically enlarges from 2"x2" to 6"x5". Now in that enlarged mode it is
quite impressive!  Shocked

i attended the very beginning and it was set up very nicely in the concert room of the hard rock, very impressive.  All the TV's were playing highlights of both men's and women's games. McShane, Frank and all the major boosters were there.  The cheerleaders and the Ram were there as well.  The hall was size appropriate.  As I say I left early so I can't speak to the final crowd or to anything that was said, but it was set up well. I assume all the players (men and women) were there but I only saw about half the men.

The outside was sweet. That section of broadway is now a walking park.  Lots of people outside, great exposure for the team.

At about 7 PM I felt a little guilty for not attending the event, but a few minutes later I walked into Yankee Stadium and surprisingly enough that feeling of guilt quickly vanished.

I'm going to attend next yr. How much is the donation that you need to give to attend or sit at one of the tables?

It was $75 for anybody to attend the reception. I don't think this year's was a sit down dinner.

Glad to see we're ready for the season?

Would I be a wet blanket if I pointed out that the season starts in 6 days and wondered when we might see the Media Guide?

And kudos go to whoever is producing the "Meet the Rams" segments on the womens' basketball page. I suspect Andruzzi's behind it. Hasn't shown she can coach yet, but slick PR -- absolutely!
