On 1/31 Chris Gaston had 26 points as New Hampton avenged an earlier season loss by beating Worcester Academy 92-76. New Hampton has won 7 of its last 8.

Worcester Academy was led by Austin Carroll, class of 2010, with 28 points.

Gaston sounds as if he's doing just fine. A little concerned about Brown and Freeman who haven't played recently. Any update on Brown's injury and Freeman's whereabouts? GO RAMS!

Lance should be back within 1-2 weeks. He will be fine.

No information yet on Freeman.

Would like to have Austin Carroll on the Rams - shooting the eyes out of the hoop in 2010.

Austin Carroll is being recruited by Michigan and has visited there.

Worcester Academy has several big men who are DI recruits, including 6'10" (Michigan) and 6'9" (GW).
Chris outplayed them all.

Joel Wright managed just 13 points and 5 rebounds yesterday in an 88-81 loss to Lincoln.  Unfortunately for Joel and his team, he fouled out midway through the 3rd quarter.

If DW were his coach now, do you think  he might not start the next game because of his defensive lapses? Roll Eyes

RC--ya right. It's obvious Joel hasn't bought into his coach's system.

Here's the latest info on Brian Freeman.  I was able to find a web site www.geocities.com/potomacbasketball and it said to contact this particular person for more info on the team.  So, I dropped him an e-mail stating that I am a Fordham alum and asked about the status of Brian Freeman.  This is what the person replied:  Thanks for the e-mail.  We won last night, but without Brian again.  He sprained his ankle several weeks ago and hoped to have him back for last Saturday's game.  Now maybe he will be able to play this Saturday night if all goes well.

Potomac beat Maret 72-55 last night with Brian.

So, since Brian didn't play in the Maret game (see link to box score in this link:  http://www.geocities.com/potomacbasketball/gmsums/2009_sum_gm17.html), you're indicating that he is expected to play this Friday night in the Sidwell Friends game? (see schedule: http://www.geocities.com/potomacbasketball/gmsums/2009_sum_gm17.html).
By the way, your link to Potomac's web site is great, and should tell us when he is playing again. Thanks!

West Ram, I can only go by what this person wrote to me about Brian Freeman's availability.  Freeman's team plays home games on Friday (Sidwell Friends) and Saturday (St. Albans).  I interpreted the e-mail reply to say that Freeman will not play on Friday, but might play on Saturday.  At least we now know for sure that Freeman is not missing games due to a serious illness/injury or academic/disciplinary issues.

Oops! Didn't see that they were playing back to back games Fri. and Sat. Makes sense that he might play in only one of those games.
