Any Idea on when the team practices right now?   I know they can't have organized ones, but I might be at RH on saturday, and if I have some extra time and the gym is open, I'd love to see some of our new frosh.

Here's a scouting report I found on Joel Wright's performance at the Rumble in the Bronx.  From Recruit Recon:

Joel Wright (2010, 6-6 SG/SF) committed to Fordham

Joel was outstanding in this game and really showed a vast array of skills.  From the post he hit a short fade-away jump shot and also had an easy layup after catching a pass over his defender, who was fronting him.  He also used a spin move on a couple of occasions in order to get around his man.  Out of one of these spins he hit a short 1 hand shot and the other came along the baseline and resulted in a layup.  Joel demonstrated that he could put the ball on the floor and even pushed the ball up on the break on a few occasions.  Once he beat everyone on the break and threw down an open dunk.  Joel also beautifully faked a behind the back pass freezing his defender before hitting a layup overtop of him.  Joel is a big time talent and should be an impact player at Fordham.

Hopefully the talent from the upper classmen will also make him fight for playing time.

In a word, yes.

A footnote:  I'm hearing that Freeman may be the best athlete on the team.  Considering the athletic ability of Gaston and Thompson, that's a big statement.

Big statement.....on what team are you referring  ?

Wasn't Joel Wright suppose to be attending South Kent School? He is not listed on the roster. Does anyone know his status?

No one will be signing for an unspecified period. Our squad will be primarily walk-on's next season and a couple of D3 projects.

Yes, he was playing for SFC. I figured we wont have much by way of recruiting news for a bit. Heard over summer we were going to sign him.

Hopefully a shooter and a ferocious 6'9 kid.  And I wouldn't mind Jayon James if he's still in the 2010 class.
