Agree - if it's going south mid season and starts like this year though - I could see him getting clipped halfway through.

At least that would happen at most schools - I'm not actually sure if Fordham has ever fired someone mid season (source - i was on the masella 1-10 team pre moorhead)

The immaturity displayed within these posts is flabbergasting. It would be one thing if it was spoken, but when typed people actually have time to think. You'd think they have time to realize that calling people names is not the right way to go.

if only there was some way to MODERATE such behavior

I agree about the concept of "Service Dogs", but if there is anyone at our great institution using a "Service Dog" besides a returning Combat veteran then this needs to be investigated.  People who use service dogs that are anything other than a combat vet need to be exposed and sent to combat, then they can gain this benefit.

What about blind people?

Columbia left because they were BRUTAL for a few years - right as we were at our peak. They lost a few key starters in the game, a few years in a row if I recall, and it provided absolutely no value to them. It was bullying.

I loved those games. It was a great little thing we had going.

Realistically they'll stink again in a year or so - hopefully we don't.

Those guys will regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday. You only get 4 years of college ball and to waste them b/c you are unhappy with a coach is a foolish move. Play the game to the fullest for yourself and your teammates.

You don't want to be 46 years old, sitting at some desk typing on a keyboard and having one of those "if I had just..." thoughts creep into your head. Wink

100%

if only there was someone on the staff that could motivate his players to understand that...ugh
12  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Football / Re: Another Hit to the Defense? on: October 18, 2017, 09:19:14 am
not sure how many of you guys have snapchat or anything like that but when i look at some of the older players' accounts I'm seeing a lot of subtle negativity. we know this kind of thing has happened on social media in the past....

i'm thinking that the dissent on the team is possibly even worse than we fear

Enough of the millennial offense

1. Using the word millennial is getting a little tired...don't you think?
2. This is the same offense that JoMo ran (obviously 10000x better than Coach B) and it's the offense that's defining college football these days (check out a PSU game for reference).

I'm equally frustrated brother but we aren't going to change the offense....I honestly don't even think that would change much. This team just doesn't have it this year.

PSU on the road at Iowa Saturday night. Both undefeated early in the season. Should be a spectacle.

I think Penn State wins BIIIIIG

This is a national championship caliber team in my opinion

Its also fantastic to see former asst coach Will Reimann on the sidelines with Moorhead - will is a great guy
22  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Football / Re: Fordham @ Bryant on: September 20, 2017, 05:16:42 pm
I think the obvious answer here is that at the time moorehead was more KING than coach and he said "ok hire my guy - he is the chosen one" and literally the entire Fordham Athletic department took his word as gospel (not saying they shouldn't)

I have faith for breiner - it's tough out there

most teams from outside the PL have a big advantage over PL teams because most leagues allow their teams to red-shirt players.  I think that leads to a big disparity on the lines which is something that we've seen in several of our playoff games over the years. IMHO, it will be the decisive edge for EWU.

I feel like the size from red shirt thing is a little overstated. The schools that have red-shirts (not patriot or ivies) have red-shirts because their schools place more of an emphasis on athletics. Because they place more of an emphasis on athletics, different types of athletes go there.

For example,  the huge lineman at Tennessee Chattanooga are huge because they are the types of O lineman that go there and not the types that go to schools like Fordham.

http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2017/aug/15/lean-on-us-say-eastern-washington-offensive-lineme/

The Eagles donít have a single senior on the O-line, but the learning curve has flattened considerably since last year. ďItís the ideal situation,Ē Butorac said.
