It had been a long time since I thought about Smush Parker's 2002 draft day.  Thanks, JC.

At least Smush played in the NBA.  JC never will.
2  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 29, 2017, 01:36:46 pm
You would think with Seng, AA and JC pulling these stunts this week that we had just finished a Sweet 16 season.  I guess the spiffy new McLaughlin family floor underwritten by Rambacker is not enticing them to stay.

Comedy hour!!

The transfers are done. Don't care. What counts is the talent coming in.

Zero JUCO's
4  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 29, 2017, 12:25:20 am
Signing JUCOs certainly eliminates the possibility of graduating early. Surprisingly, I have not heard or read recently about us recruiting any JUCOs. Maybe the staff is keeping it quiet?

We are not signing any JUCO's.  Our staff wasn't even in Hutchinson Kansas last week.  The JUCO top 100 has not been touched by us.
5  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 29, 2017, 12:24:02 am
Let's wait until we see our incoming recruiting class to make an assessment. I predict that next season all of this drama will be forgotten.

You are so off base and out in left field......Rose Hill Colored Glasses in full usage.  Our incoming recruiting class will include no JUCO's.  That means that we will be in a development stage.
6  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 28, 2017, 07:53:13 pm
As usual, you have no clue what you are talking about.

I am spot on with my assessment.
7  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 28, 2017, 07:52:37 pm
Good Bye AA, Good Bye CS.......you are dead to me.  ZERO LOYALTY!!  I wish you good riddance.  Coach Neu.....Clean house, get rid of all the others if there is any leftover.....

Short term success vs a long term legacy is what was at stake.....  You chose the short term.  Go enjoy your one year of "success"....Don't ever have me find you putting Fordham on your resume.....

People can be annoyed and hate me for this but you won't change my mind ever.

Not sure what the smile is all about, but Rich is very right. Lots of others on this forum have info, but do not post it b/c the whole thing is fluid. No real point in posting these things until they have occurred.

Rambacker is playing the role of Kevin Bacon in Animal House......."Remain Calm, All is well, we have a new facilities project on the horizon".  His smiley face means nothing.  He has no "inside information" on anything related to the team.
9  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 28, 2017, 02:09:19 pm
We are all gluttons for punishment.

Fr. McShane and the Board of Trustees continue to fail miserably at stewarding the university's highest profile sport.

Fr. McShane and the BOT are stewards of a "major facilities upgrade" which will be occurring "soon" named in honor of the McLaughlin family.
10  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 28, 2017, 12:23:42 pm
This is no way to build a program. I am sorry can't keep having this type of turnover year after year. We are not a power conference team that can keep absorbing these type of losses especially for players that have been with the program a couple of years.

I totally agree.....especially with a "major facilities renovation" about to take place.  There should be a level of excitement radiating through Rose Hill.
11  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 28, 2017, 12:16:36 pm
So if this speculation is over AA and/or JC, and that is what I am hearing, then where does the blame finger get pointed?  I am sorry, but I will not be pointing it at Coach.....he is part of the solution but not part of the problem.  I blame the lack of commitment and the administration first and foremost and then Sengfelder second for opening the flood gates.  This "renovation/floor replacement/private jet" comedy show has to be seriously reviewed.
12  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Football / Re: P. Odom - Pro Day/NFL Draft Outlook on: March 27, 2017, 04:17:27 pm
So you were talking out of your a$$ then. okay got it.

No, I just private messaged you.
13  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Football / Re: P. Odom - Pro Day/NFL Draft Outlook on: March 27, 2017, 03:43:58 pm
In an effort to keep the threads on topic, I'm responding to an Odom post within this thread.

Ram-Spouse - you mentioned that NFL Scouts said Odom was too soft to play DE. I'm wondering where you heard this? Did he have another pro-day as a defensive player at some point? Did he hold private workouts? I'm curious where you got this information, especially since you're the only person to ever claim he'd be lining up as a DE.

Thanks for the response.

Why are you so obsessed with this topic?  The NFL Scouts that I know "think" and "believe" that he has potential as a DE....Good God.  How did you play D1 athletics allowing me to get in your head so easily?  You must have jumped off sides a lot.

your predictions are spot on. when do we get to see Odom line up as a DE?

It's not happening.  NFL scouts said that he is too soft.  Now pipe down and go back to sitting in your box seats at MSG with all of your "connections".
16  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 27, 2017, 02:36:08 pm
Sengfelder has offers that he can't refuse, and that's fair. He'll be playing in the tournament next March. He has his pick of at least three tournament caliber schools.

There should be more than one more add going into next winter, as there will also be more than one more departure.

Having another "miss" is not an option, so whether it's Papa or Mama or Isaiah Cousins brother, it has to be an impact player.

There will be times next season where there are four guards on the floor: JC, AA, Havsa, Hicks.

Bunting may be rehearsing lines this summer for the part of Christian Sengfelder.

Yes, I agree......  Siena, Iona and Monmouth are legitimate tourney schools.  Hopefully he latches on to one of them and they make the tourney.

Best of luck!!
17  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Moving forward 2017-18 on: March 26, 2017, 11:35:29 pm
I heard that none of our coaches were in Hutchinson, Kansas over the last week at the National JUCO Tourney.  32 teams were there.  I would assume that someone on those 32 teams could help us.

Confused.....
18  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 25, 2017, 09:53:59 am
You're a moron ! He's a 5th year senior 6-7 and averaged 12ppg.. major programs will be tripping over themselves to get him. Teams like northwestern, wake forest are lining up and drooling to get get him.

He doesn't have to be a star but these major conf teams get a mature proven player to contribute . So it's not a pipe dream . Northwestern made their first NCAA tournament in 85 years , they are not exactly a basketball factory so yes he can play there and they would love to have him just like 20 other major teams.

Sengfelder is not going to be playing meaningful minutes in the ACC or the Big 10

Can you send me your address and NYRam07's address?  I want to send the two of you French White Flag's of Surrender for your losing mentality.
20  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 25, 2017, 09:20:57 am
So in 2 years we had Ryan Rhoomes who committed to staying with the program, a new coach, a new system and help put the initial foundation together for putting our program back together from the ashes.  He took a leap of faith and will probably be rewarded (as he should be) into the Fordham Rams basketball Hall of Fame in the coming years.  Now one year later we have Sengfelder who quits the program, our coaches, teammates and our new system and some of us on this board sit here and applaud him for a job well done.  Not me.  His Fordham career statistics should have a Roger Maris, Ford Frick imposed asterisk next to his statistics.....

* quit the team, teammates, coaches and fans with one year eligibility left to go for greener pastures.

He would have ended his career in the all time top 10 in scoring and top 10 in rebounding.  I would follow Rhoomes into battle any time.  I would never follow Seng, carrying his French white flag of surrender into battle.
21  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 25, 2017, 01:54:32 am
Shut up.

Nice comeback.  It is burning inside of you knowing that I am right.  See the problem is that you are a perfect example of our current society...Applauding his defeatist, incomplete attitude.  You applaud his Fordham basketball performance, even though, if you were to give him a grade you wouldn't be able to grade him on a scale of A to F.....Seng and his Fordham basketball career would be graded an INCOMPLETE.  So, again, you applaud the "Participation Trophy" mentality, but you find no problem with him quitting.  Sad....
22  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 25, 2017, 12:30:24 am
Keep talking bud. Did you even qualify for a participation trophy?
Or we're you on the sidelines cheering on the spouse?

it's OK that you don't like to win....I don't understand.....but it is ok.....and these pipe dreams that he is going to go play at a Northwestern or somewhere like that are pipe dreams.
23  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 25, 2017, 12:05:53 am
A lot of bitter old men said that about Paschal too and we know how that worked out. Stop with the ignorance.
Seng is no EP.   Keep dusting that "Participation Trophy" that you are in possession of.
24  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 24, 2017, 09:02:28 pm
I've supported JN, but he's taking a huge risk if that's the case. You don't run productive kids off unless you have depth (which we don't) or recruits waiting in the wings (which we don't appear to have). If this is true, it's time for JN to put up or shut up when it comes to recruiting. TP was fired in part for his terrible rentention record. JN isn't faring much better so far.

This is complete rumor and innuendo by Rambacker.  Coach didn't run Seng off the team.  Another baseless speculation by Rambacker.  0.0% chance that this rumor happened.  0.0%
25  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 24, 2017, 08:34:14 pm
So you think JN ran him off? A 6-7 guy who averaged 12ppg  and 6 rbd per game . JN needs to win games in year 3 or he may be looking for work , why would he get rid of him?

+1000

JN didn't get rid of him.  Rambacker is being Rambacker....
26  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 24, 2017, 05:50:28 pm
Maybe he wants to experience playing in a real facility with real fans, with a shot at the NCAA tourney in his final year of college ball.

Exactly.....go ride the pine as the 9th man on an NIT team somewhere where the Gatorade is free, the team has a "Wheels Up" subscription and a sweet Nike contract.

Sounds fun.....
27  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 24, 2017, 05:31:11 pm
Why don't we see how coach likes his decision.  It is not like he is the second coming of Pete Maravich.  Coach is trying to build something here.  Loyalty matters.  For anyone who disagrees then why don't you go dust off your "Participation trophy" and enjoy life.  I want to win and I am sure Coach does too.  We had a very solid season last year.  We had our up's and down's this year, but with a solid returning team next year there was a chance to build.  Now Seng decides to jump ship.  I don't like his decision at all.  Sorry 07, it is not right.
28  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 24, 2017, 12:06:18 pm
True, but maybe basketball is not that important to him.  I was seeking simply to suggest that our guesses about Sengfelder's motives seem to be much too focused on his  basketball goals.

Was basketball important to him when he was utilizing a very generous "full ride" scholarship that we provided to him?

Fire, ready, Aim!

I agree with 85....enough of the simple "ask for a release and granting one" days.
29  The Fordham Forums / Fordham Men's Basketball / Re: Sengfelder to transfer on: March 24, 2017, 10:58:22 am
The transfers are often an outgrowth of immaturity. Sort of like a player posting here under a fake name.

All players at some point dislike their coach, you get yelled at, or are forced to hit the pine. This is retaliation.....oh yeah you made me sit then fine im going to transfer....its about time we have balls and deny releases, especially to players who are coming on websites ( allegedly) under pseudonyms ......just my opinion.......its too easy for these immature kids to just ask for and be given a release.....

by the way....

This is the guy that our coaches are not interested in, but the rest of the A-10 is making him offers....

His last two games in the NJCAA....  16 pts, 16 rebounds, and 10 points and 14 rebounds.

They just beat the #1 seed and are now in the Final 4 starting today.
