Believe I read the other day that the Browns cut the punter for failing to make a tackle during a runback.  Seems to me, not a bad idea in a preseason game.  Will Patrick be doing the punting as well.

I may be wrong, but I believe most (if not all) NFL teams now carry a kicker and a punter and I don't think Patrick has punted in the NFL.

He's already had an injury. FG kickers are too valuable to tackle.

Just saw the story last night--awesome! Great old franchise (with some years skipped in the middle...) with a crazy fanbase. I immediately tried to imagine what kicking in Cleveland in November and December must be like, but Patrick already knows:

No worries. I enjoyed reading it again. Took me halfway to realize I had already read it.

Congrats Patrick,
     We are still talking about your game winning 19 yard field goal as Bosco beats De Lasalle out in Cali. Go Ironmen and Go Rams!

Murray with a FG and PAT in the season opening loss to the Eagles- as well as this(?);

"Erving had the same problem in training camp and preseason. The blunder resulted in a safety and a 15-10 Philadelphia lead. Following a free kick by punter Patrick Murray, the Eagles scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass by Carson Wentz when wide Nelson Agholor scorched Joe Haden. The nine-play drive covered 73 yards."

He hurt his left knee that he had had surgery on before.  He's out for today.  The Browns signed another kicker.

The replacement missed a potential game winning field goal at the end of regulation vs Miami.  It would have been great for Patrick to have that chance.

I had a "football Sophie's Choice" this fall.... Take our guy Patrick in my fantasy draft, or take deadly Dan Bailey.

In a rare act of Ram disloyalty I snatched Bailey.  He's been good to me.

Get better soon Patrick! We're almost completely in your corner  Grin

Is this kid jinxed? I figured that, being a kicker, he would be set for years as the risk of injury is so small compared to the other positions. I hope he can get back on the field to stay. Seems crazy.

He's a well spoken young man. Fordham should be proud. I wish him the best.
