Coach Bridget Orchard signed 5 players to a NLI, adding 3 more pitchers.  We'll have 6 pitchers in 2017-2018, probably the most ever.  All will be Sophs or Freshmen.  Most are multi-position players.  All but one is from the Northeast, the one being from the softball hotbed in SoCal.  One is from the Conklin Raiders in Binghamton, Bridget's home town, which has given us some excellent players in the past, such as Dearborn, Wiggins, Shager, and Brooks.

The schedule isn't out yet, but I saw we'll be playing one tournament in AZ in the Spring instead of all in the Southeast.

Two of the recruits play travel ball with Team Long Island which has traditionally been one of the best, if not the best, travel prgrams on LI.

Saw that, Rick and figured you'd respond.

Also, Rich Wiggins, Beckah's dad, said Rauch "is a stud and one of the strongest athletes he's ever seen".  He still coaches in the Conklins Raiders organization in Binghamton.

Oddly enough, of the only other two NLI signed from Prentiss' club team in CA, one is going to Iona and one to Binghamton.

Incoming freshman Rauch was named NYS AA POY.  http://www.pressconnects.com/story/sports/high-school/2017/07/01/state-honors-section-4-softball-trio-poy-picks/446207001/?hootPostID=8b7d96f6579140468827561631b32f1d
