If you define Northeast as New England and NY, NJ and the eastern half of PA, I would say that with Hofstra and UMASS slipping a bit from their respective coaching changes that we are probably the premier sb program in the Northeast.

I'd have to agree with that, Rick.  BC has a good team though, and were ranked #56 last year.  They have a fairly challenging schedule, including having to face Arizona this week.  Hofstra has fallen off some, but still are a decent team.  UMass fell off the most after Coach Sortino died.  They used to win the A10 every year and were often ranked in the top 25.  They won on their pitching, and used their ace for almost every game.  That's where they have weakened the most.

Syracuse is always a top 100 team, but I don't recall them ever being ranked.

In W. PA, Pitt jumped from #86 last year to #24 in the latest poll.  They've attracted a lot of talent after completing their new stadium.

Am curious to see how we'll do this week as favorites for every game.

Let's Beat Florida!
Florida is now #1 and we play them on 2/24 in Orlando.  We did beat Alabama at home in 2012 when they were eventual #1.

Apparently the results from this past weekend's tournament did result in the Rams not receiving any votes in the Feb 21, 2017 poll

Still very early though with plenty of time to change things

Was surprised FSU jumped past Auburn

Pitt has come a long way..

I expect BC and maybe Syracuse would be ranked a little higher than us if a full RPI was out after our 2 losses last weekend.
