With eight teams participating, the John Jackson Memorial Team Race Regatta hosted by Georgetown got started late and only 20 of 28 races in the first Round Robin were completed.

Fordham had a 3-2 record with wins over St. Mary's, Connecticut College & SUNY Maritime, and losses to Coast Guard & Georgetown. Our Rams will conclude the first Round Robin when they race against Charleston & George Washington tomorrow morning.

Eight more races took place this morning to complete a 28-Race Round Robin. Fordham placed 1-2-5 for 8 points in beating George Washington 3-4-6 for 13 points, and placed the exact opposite while losing to Charleston 13 - 8.

After 28 Races, the standings were:

TOP 4
Georgetown            6-1
Coast Guard           5-2
Conn College.         5-2
FORDHAM              4-3

BOTTOM 4
Charleston              3-4
St. Mary's               2-5
GWU                      2-5
SUNY Maritime.       1-6

Instead of running a second Round Robin of 28 races, which might not be completed within the time limit, the Race Committee appears to have opted for a Top 4 and Bottom 4 rotation. Stay tuned for further results.

From the Official Report:

"Sunday, March 12:

Racing began at 1045am in a light and shifty NW wind. The first round robin was completed and after a short break the final four and consolation four commenced. The final four and consolation four finished around 130pm and the decision was made to stop racing since the tide was low and getting lower.

Thanks to the Georgetown undergrads for running the event and to GW for the use of their boats."
