Watching the Masters reminds me that the 24th annual Gridiron Club golf outing is right around the corner.

This year's event will take place on May 15th and the Leewood Country Club will once again serve as the venue. The golf outing is the single biggest fundraising function for the program and the money raised
helps support many critical initiatives for the year.  Whether you're a scratch golfer or someone who hacks his way around the course I promise you'll have a fun time while supporting the cause

Haven't seen any updates here from the outing.  Personally, loved having the coaches hang on various holes so we had a chance to interact with each, particularly the new D ones.

I was very impressed with the new defensive staff.  Obviously we have no idea until the games start but they're an intense group and I could see kids running through walls to play for these guys.  Hope that's the case because with all we have returning on O, if we could get a strong D to go along with it we could have a great year.

This has to be our toughest schedule ever, right?  Army, Central CT, Eastern Washington, Bryant and Yale before we go into PL play.  Not a slouch in there and we will be big underdogs in games 1 and 3.  It will be really interesting to see how things play out and if playing that type of schedule helps us take it to another level once PL play starts or if it pummels the confidence out of us.  It could be one of those years where we have a losing record in OOC and are written off but those games up our level of play and we end up making a run at the PL title and another playoff appearance.  Of course, hoping for better in OOC but it will be interesting imo.

Thanks PA!

Here's the program's recap.  I hated to miss the event this year.  I've met most of the new assistants and they are top flight guys.
