Another good job. Nice to hear from the players, helps to diminish the conjecture. Thanks Brenton looking forward to Thursday's interview.

you're absolutely right. Then again, consider what you're reading:

"He's a scholarship player so factor that into scholarship allocation. Really? no sh*t... "He's tough, from tough, so he'll be tough"

Empty, as per usual.

That's not at all what I posted. Significant misquoting even further damages your credibility.

People are constantly asking about who we have signed over the next 4 years and when people are falling off. Its a good point to make.

Thanks, 07. Always a voice of reason.

Another good interview from Brenton. It's good to hear that Perris is healthy and eager to play great D.  When Perris signed we heard good things from his Mom here and he sounds like he has her good vibes. Best wishes to Perris for the coming season!

Yes, Brenton gets better with each interview. Could be time to get over to FUV after the season to get some extra pre-career reps.

Good to hear that Perris plans to play two years.  Hopefully, quality comes to the fore. Looking at the JUCO transfers on the roster, we've got a guy who was a 3d team JUCO All-America (Tavares), the MVP of a strong JUCO league (Hicks) and a player (Evans) who knocked down 15.5 per game for another good JUCO program.  Plus Slanina showed flashes. This team's a bit of a mystery compared to years past, but there's a definite upside.

I'm providing a translation in quotation marks as a joke, as your commentary consistently contains grandest of generalizations / captain obvious notions.

You hold a special way of consistently saying nothing. This was just one example. i.e. "A scholarship player factors into scholarship allocation," yes - quite a concept. On the recruiting front, you struggle to decipher basic basketball knowledge, but are always quick to rave about potential with bold language of a player's speed and strength. Better to stay away from the tendency to insert pretend knowledge altogether. I will say, when you provide a link to a story and refrain from inserting any commentary, you don't fall into that rabbit hole. Something to consider.

Seems like they might, gasp, have some depth this year.  I think a lot of guys are going to get minutes.  West Virginia played 10 guys double digit minutes last year.  We have so many guards and wings that can go 20+.  Seems like Hicks will fit right in, ball-hawking and 3s.  And hey, position-less basketball is the thing.

The silver lining from last year is that with so many guys down Chuba and Ege got thrown to the wolves, Bunting to a bit, too.  Maybe Will has gone through his adjustment phase.  With Evans coming in, and Hicks now a bonus, like a hidden recruit, we have a lot of guys who have played some ball at a fairly high level.  Even if Tre and Perris haven't played  a DI game yet.

Bodes well for January/February play when an opponent may have a player or two fighting the flu, and we're comfortably going 9-deep. Intangibles that can't be seen in the boxscore.

Just listening to these players on these podcasts makes you a believer in this team.  Each player believes in the team and in themselves.  You just feel that they are going to do better than projected.  I'm really looking forward more than ever for the season to start after hearing the determination to succeed these players have.

Makes it easier to buy in, for sure. Better chemistry too, as the new guys seem to have a bit of a clique already. Can't put a value on chemistry.

If I remember correctly the photo attached to this article was Charley Y shooting a jumper over Julius Erving of UMass.

Episode 6 is available! Ivan Raut joins the podcast to talk about the adjustments he's had coming from a different country, and how it feels to be starting as a freshmen and his thoughts on the team so far.

Brenton, another good job. I would have liked to have heard more about his recruiting process and less about Lebron James.

Some constructive criticism, if I may. I briefly had a talk show on a local radio station and upon listening to myself I heard myself saying "and so on" much too often. I was using it as a filler and it did not mean anything or add anything to what I was saying. You do the same thing with "and things of that nature". You talked about mid terms "and things of that nature". You asked about shooting 3's "and things of that nature". That phrase adds nothing to what you are saying.

Overall, you are doing a good job and you are improving nicely. Thanks for doing these podcasts and thanks for sharing them. Keep up the good work.

More good stuff.  I am pretty sure Ivan was meaning to say there that the Fordham defense is much tougher than the D they play in Europe.  This guy seems like a real find.
