Right now I'll be happy if Chase can play another down today.  Ankle injury.

That looked like pass interference to me if I ever saw it.

No interference, different rule than NFL.  Plus it hit defender in helmet so likely not catchable. A split second earlier and it would have been  interference.

Ok, not over yet, my bad. Lets see what our 5th yr qb can engineer here.

Game over, and probably our best chance for a league win this year with it.

so you can run into the receiver as long as the ball hits you first?

Feel bad for Anderson, he is a tough competitor.  Way, way , way too much confusion on offense, he is looking to the coaches for nearly the entire clock. Kid is money, 5th year player, let him run the damn play and knock off all this idiotic hand gesturing and calling in from the sidelines. Ludicrous.

You can face guard. You have to watch the timing of it. He didnt run him over until the ball arrived. In the NFL, that is likely a penalty.   Look,. I think it was that defenders every intention to take the interference, he just got hyper lucky with the timing. He basically lowered his head to tackle him as opposed to defending the pass, and got incredibly lucky. There must be contact before the ball arrives.  My first view, I thought it was interference but watching the replay, just dumb luck for the defender.  You dont have to play the ball, you can steamroll into the receiver with your head down, as long as contact doesnt occur before the ball gets there.

Did anyone listen to the Breiner post game interview? Sounds like Yogi Bear is running this team into the ground. I'm bringing a pickanick basket the next game.

Our defense isn't good, but it was our offense that lost this game.  You can't score just 10 points in a football game and expect to win against anybody, including Lafayette.

Our offensive line doesn't particularly protect our quarterback very well, made at least 3 or 4 holding penalties that killed our drives, included numerous offsides,  and is unable to open many holes for our runner, Chase.  Add to that the fact that we can't hit field goals (23 yarder, come on) and we aren't going to beat many teams.

Not sure about Warner Joe!

BTW, did you adjust the volume on the video as well as your computer?  The video volume was set to mute at the outset.

No, I didn't 71. Ugh! I definitely should have had one of my eight grandchildren view the game with me. Even the eight-year old would have figured it out!

We're not very good. Lots of reasons.  I didn't see the game but listened to the end. The last possession didn't sound good but they were playing to win.

14-10. Were not going anywhere but AB hasn't lost the team.  They played hard. Doesn't show on the scoreboard, though.  Quality guys. Very tough to keep playing in a season like this...

I was at the game. The coaching staff had control during warmups and on the sideline. At one point one of our receivers grew hot and began yelling at his team mates. He was promptly walked away by an assistant and calmed down. The coaches coached. I had no problem with the play calling.

Penalties killed us in the second half. Chase was Chase, tried to put the game on his shoulder and then went down. Anderson played the last minutes hurt. The good LC quarterback ate up the right side of our defensive backfield after the half. I think we tried to get help over there and he found the gaps in the middle. Our last minute pass looked like it was in the hands of the receiver. He couldn't hang on.

The team played hard and played hurt.

I don't equate those things to coaching.  Coaching is game preparation, making in game adjustments and execution. Warm-ups? Come on now. Control during warm ups? Geez.

I agree they appeared to play hard. The receivers were solid and the O Line was much better.

Coaching end of things. On D, they still have no answer whatsoever for the screen passes. However, they did blitz a few times, and it was effective. On O,  they still take way too much time, with hand gesturing and foot tapping on every single play.  They do use the tight ends effectively and they use Prince nicely on those slants. However, if your defense stinks, you need to run the ball more and keep them off the field, we could have done a lot better in that area. 14 rushes by Anderson were mainly scrambles on pass plays. Eat some clock and use your backs.

Better effort all around, but next week i sa better barometer.

Look I don't think we are great by any means. I think this season has all the makings of "one of those seasons" where everything goes wrong.

That being said, are we sure that Lafayette isn't the favorite in the PL. They beat arguably the top two preseason favorites already.

All of the looking to the sideline, the foot tapping, finger pointing, stepping back, then up, I think its a bunch of hooey. Turn around and hand it to Chase, or to Palladino or to the freshman.

Anderson looks like he is playing that dance game at Dave and Busters before every snap.
