A couple of guys who went to high school in Montreal with JC and Zarko are coming to the A-10.  Nathan Cato, 6'7",  is going to Richmond, and Anthony Longpre, 6'9", signed with Saint Joe's.  These guys announced a while back but I just saw as I did a little search for Chartouny to see if there are any updates on his situation. He must be going through some tough times.

Anyway, our canucks have to convince tall canucks to come to Fordham. Sacre blue!

Looks like the Canada-RHG pipeline ruptured after we got JC .  No reason that it can't be reactivated.

Late bloomer. His older brother stars for San Diego State.  Go get'em Ali.

Hemsely is averaging 16 ppg and 13 rpg for a very good 27-4 Damien team. He's a year young for his class, most guys his age are class of 2018. Meaning he may have extra upside. Academically qualified, says he wants to play D-1, doesn't care where.

Any idea of if we've offered?

For the lazy, can someone provide height, weight and position for Hemsely.

I've seen anywhere from 6'5" to 6'7" and a little on the thin side (Max preps say 180 lbs, Scout 175 lbs), long arms.  And as of December he didn't have any Division I offers but they may be coming out of the woodworks.  He had a concussion and was out for 2 weeks, recently came back.  ESPN has him at poi9nt guard.  Scout at small forward.

Late bloomer and a year young for his class, so hopefully that's why no offers at least as of December 2016.

Justin Hemsley                               6’6”     2017   Damien (La Verne CA)
Rapidly improving athletic forward is making lots of noise this season.   Hemsley is active on the glass and an above-average shotblocker for his size.  Late-bloomer is the younger brother of San Diego State guard Jeremy Hemsley.  Nevada is among the schools recognizing this West Coast super-sleeper’s talents.

Ha, no, that's his brother Jeremy at 6'3" at San Diego St..  The article is a tad confusing, as it leads with that info.

I like the height. It is what is needed in the A10 at the guard positions. Vinseiro has been saying that for years and he could not be more right on that.

Tough to see no offers this late considering his size, bloodlines, and area he plays in, but like Ace points out, his size would be a plus and a help in our defense.  But we need help on the offensive end, can this kid score at this level?

Can't tell.  I don't think he's big from 3.  Only thing I can see is quote from Scout that he has a smooth stroke.  No box scores and few mentions in game notes, none of which mentioned 3s.  Only box I saw was a line score (like a spring training game) and he didn't shoot a 3.

He plays in a pretty good conference in the Inland Valley.  They got beat up a bit by Chino Hills last couple of years but that's one of the best teams in the country, with Lonzo Ball, and now his brother LaMelo.

one of the areas that we need to improve is passing.  too many poor passes and too many dropped passes.  As someone noted after Saturday's game -- Richmond's forwards handled the ball better than our guards.  It's another skill that usually doesn't show up in the highlight clips and it's an area in which we need to improve if we are going to step up to the next level.

Exchanged tweets with a guy who reported some stats from players a recent game Hemsley (he went for 18 points and 11 boards).  I asked if he could shoot and he said he hit a 3 and stepped out and hit a 15 footer, but mostly played inside.

Keep an eye on Class of 2018 6' 8" PF Jacob Eyman from Los Alamitos HS in California.

He has one offer so far from Nevada with Fordham, Boise State, Gonzaga, Long Beach State, Oregon State, San Jose State, Texas Tech and UC-Irvine involved.

Over the past few years , have you ever calculated what percent of the recruits we are "involved with" have actually signed on.

6' 8" C Isaac Kante from Putnam Science Academy, who we have offered, has now been offered by Georgetown. His other notable offers are from DePaul, Kansas State, St. Bonaventure, St. Louis and Duquesne.

6' 4" wing David Collins from First Love Christian Academy in PA, who we have also offered, has now been offered by Washington State along with offers from Cincinnati, St. Bonaventure and Rice.

Both players are Class of 2017.

What in the world are you "+1"-ing now?

The guy is stating that your "reporting" is misleading, as none of these players will be Fordham bound.

Less than 1% of the names you list end up at Rose Hill.

This has gone on for years. Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.

I just post players we're recruiting. If you don't like it, don't read it.
