Yes, I was referring to Kante.

Collins, who is now listed at 6' 4," will visit after his season is finished.

A recent quote from him answering the question "What are you looking for in the college you choose?"

"Best fit, a place that fits my style and a coaching staff I know will develop me into the best possible player. Location doesn’t matter"

Good find TT.

This wide range of offers to me is emblatic of why there are so many transfers. Rice, Cincy....yeah offer the kid he is a good player, until we can sign over him.....SBU, Fordham....probably the right level.....Kent, Toledo.....good conference.....maybe start right away......Siena, Robert Morris, Iona.....lets target him now and maybe get him s a transfer when he leaves Cincy, or Rice or Kent..

6-4 2 guard 6-8 forward that would be a nice spring recruiting class on paper.

I am hearing that the Dominican kid who played at Pope John in New Jersey and is at a JUCO in Florida is potentially back in the mix with us.  St. Bonnies has already offered him a full ride.

Correct.  That is a big time program that he is playing on and they play basically 8-10 deep.  All D1 caliber.

Fordham is involved with 6' 7" 200 lb. wing Christian Hinckson from Bowne HS in NYC.

He has offers from Hofstra and Iona and is now being recruited by St. John's.  He's Class of 2018 and is an honor roll student.

Like what I see with Mr. Hinckson.

I've lived in NYC most of my life, lived for a time near Bowne HS and (long, long ago) played in in summer league that held games at Bowne and had some pros come in to play. [You think you're hot stuff 'till you get schooled by Spud Webb]. But I can't remember when, if ever, I heard of a kid from Bowne in the mix for a D-1 hoops scholarship.

Go get him. As a lad, I spent many an hour playing hoops on the asphalt courts behind Bowne. Today, my knees tell me all about it. Way I see it, Bowne HS owes me some hoops enjoyment on the downside.

We offered Myles the monster Johnson 6-9 245 lb big from Cali

Known for good hands, passing and can shoot a bit. Had a 5 block game and used to break press at mid court. Coming off a knee injury only seems to have an offer from Yale. Oh yeah he has 4.0 gpa. Needs to improve conditioning.

JUCO's were a huge part of JN's tourney teams at EKU. Looks like he is trying to duplicate that here. I think it is a really solid gameplan. ALlows us to get experienced players as I would believe that it is tough to sell a transfer on a team that hasn't made the tournament in almost 30 years.

More on Mercurius - he was a Stan Heath recruit at USF who saw a decent amount of action at shooting guard in Orlando Antigua's first season. A shoot-first guard.

Mercurius is averaging 18pts/game on 39% shooting from 3.  2/3 of his shots are 3 pointers.  Also as a 2/1 Asst/TO ratio and looks like he gets to the FT line a lot and is very productive there (88% shooter on 124-141).  Looks like he would help replace some of Hawkins' production.

If 2/3 of his shots are from three, I'm surprised he gets to the line so much.

Sounds like a Neubauer guy. 3's and FTs. Good to see his 3% up to 39% as he struggled at USF from 3 even though he was touted as a shooter.

A couple of guys who went to high school in Montreal with JC and Zarko are coming to the A-10.  Nathan Cato, 6'7",  is going to Richmond, and Anthony Longpre, 6'9", signed with Saint Joe's.  These guys announced a while back but I just saw as I did a little search for Chartouny to see if there are any updates on his situation. He must be going through some tough times.

Anyway, our canucks have to convince tall canucks to come to Fordham. Sacre blue!
