Out of Bishop Loughlin? As I recall, had excellent academics. If he'd half as good as our last player out of Loughlin . . .

Yes, he played at Bishop Loughlin and is now at St. Thomas More Prep in CT. Good student, player and excellent size for a 2. Was just offered by Penn State.

Adrien Nunez seems to be leaning to St. Joe's but that could change as he receives bigger offers. Here is what he said about Fordham after his visit.

“They outlined my role clearly. The facilities were great and it’s close to home in New York, which is great. There’s a lot of opportunity to play on that team.”

Interesting comment.  More because of the usual suspects who chime in ad nauseum that nearly every recruit didnt choose us due to facilities, absent any proof of that whatsoever, are suddenly silent.  Didn't log in that day to read that one?

After playing well this Summer for the PSA Cardinals on the 17U Nike EYBL circuit, Class of 2019 Fordham target Joe Touissant, the 6' PG from Cardinal Hayes HS in the Bronx, now has an offer from UNLV to go along with his offers from Fordham, St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis and UMass.

(As a general observation), am I on the right track in thinking that since JeffN was hired immediately after the '15-'16 season, we effectively lost a year of recruiting (which reaches to HS juniors and therefore has a 2 yr lag to enrollment), which explains all of the HS class of 2018 offers;  in other words, a new coach scrambles in yr 1, and needs time for laying the groundwork for a frosh class in his yr 3.  Which means we need a bit of patience, even after the frosh recruits mature, etc.
And, new topic, wouldn't it be interesting if this upcoming season to see a big game (March Madness ?) with UConn/AA vs Nova/EP ?  I recently saw a Hartford Courant story on Kevin Ollie extolling the virtues of AA and his maturity/lockerroom influence/clutch results.
