For a second consecutive game, Brian Freeman did not play for Potomac. There is no public information as to why he missed the games on 1/21 and 1/24. Hopefully, it is just a flu or a minor injury. Another Potomac starter also missed those games.

On 1/23 Chris Gaston had 21 points as New Hampton beat Proctor Academy 89-76.
In a game a few days ago, Gaston had what was described as an "electrifying" dunk that ignited the home crowd and led to a big run by his team.
I am looking forward to seeing Chris next season as he gives Jio another option to handle his passes and score.

We're gonna have to start tracking Joel Wright on here as well.
Are there any air traffic controllers on the board that can follow "Air Jamaica"?

If we are to follow this thread title to its strictest sense, then it is not time to follow Joel "Air Jamaica" Wright yet.

The sad thing is that in the background of the video they have Jerseys hanging of other prospect schools. St. John's, Villanova, Seton Hall, Syracuse. But for Fordham they just have a sweatshirt.

Ace, can we edit the title to ".......Our Signed/Committed Recruits"?
I started the thread but can't seem to find how to edit it.

On 1/30 Chris Gaston had 15 points (high scorer) and 14 rebounds as New Hampton avenged an earlier season loss by beating Northfield Mount Herman 85-71. New Hampton has won 6 of its last 7.

In understanding that the level of competition isn't the same as they'll see in the A10 I am still salivating at some of these numbers - double doubles and the rebounds.
Looking forward to watching these future Rams next year!

Brian Freeman did not play again on 1/31 as Potomac lost to Flint Hill 83-67. This was the third game he has missed since 1/21. There is no public information yet available as to the reason.

On 1/31 Joel Wright had 19 points and 16 rebounds as Jefferson lost to Rice (#1 in NYC) 56-41. The 19 points is almost half the team's total. There are two other high DI recruits on Jefferson.

On 1/31 Chris Gaston had 26 points as New Hampton avenged an earlier season loss by beating Worcester Academy 92-76. New Hampton has won 7 of its last 8.
Worcester Academy was led by Austin Carroll, class of 2010, with 28 points.

Gaston sounds as if he's doing just fine. A little concerned about Brown and Freeman who haven't played recently. Any update on Brown's injury and Freeman's whereabouts? GO RAMS!

No information yet on Freeman.

Would like to have Austin Carroll on the Rams - shooting the eyes out of the hoop in 2010.

Worcester Academy has several big men who are DI recruits, including 6'10" (Michigan) and 6'9" (GW). Chris outplayed them all.

Joel Wright managed just 13 points and 5 rebounds yesterday in an 88-81 loss to Lincoln. Unfortunately for Joel and his team, he fouled out midway through the 3rd quarter.

If DW were his coach now, do you think he might not start the next game because of his defensive lapses?

Here's the latest info on Brian Freeman. I was able to find a web site www.geocities.com/potomacbasketball and it said to contact this particular person for more info on the team. So, I dropped him an e-mail stating that I am a Fordham alum and asked about the status of Brian Freeman. This is what the person replied: Thanks for the e-mail. We won last night, but without Brian again. He sprained his ankle several weeks ago and hoped to have him back for last Saturday's game. Now maybe he will be able to play this Saturday night if all goes well.Potomac beat Maret 72-55 last night with Brian.

So, since Brian didn't play in the Maret game (see link to box score in this link: http://www.geocities.com/potomacbasketball/gmsums/2009_sum_gm17.html), you're indicating that he is expected to play this Friday night in the Sidwell Friends game? (see schedule: http://www.geocities.com/potomacbasketball/gmsums/2009_sum_gm17.html). By the way, your link to Potomac's web site is great, and should tell us when he is playing again. Thanks!

West Ram, I can only go by what this person wrote to me about Brian Freeman's availability. Freeman's team plays home games on Friday (Sidwell Friends) and Saturday (St. Albans). I interpreted the e-mail reply to say that Freeman will not play on Friday, but might play on Saturday. At least we now know for sure that Freeman is not missing games due to a serious illness/injury or academic/disciplinary issues.

Oops! Didn't see that they were playing back to back games Fri. and Sat. Makes sense that he might play in only one of those games.
