Joe... if you are on his Hudl, and click "TEAM" you can easily sort and see his QB listed by number....click on the QB and you can get all of his measureables, video, profile, etc

6'3 WR/TE Ben Maffe has committed to Fordham.

According to Rivals.com, Bucknell, UNH, Marshall, and Elon were recruiting Maffe as well.

Looks good but our kicking game has to be addressed.  Pavlik is gone and none of the returning KO/FG kickers left a good impression

You can add one of the most productive players in CT to the commit list. Zach Davis a RB/DB from SHeehan/Wallingford has committed according to the coaches on Twitter.

Davis; numbers are mind boggling. He rushed for 10 TDs and over 500 yards in ONE GAME this year.He plays in Division 3 so his numbers do need to be taken in context.

I played HS football in Connecticut and I would say that there isn't that much discrepancy in the different divisions in CT, compared to somewhere like Texas. Most of the schools have teams that are more or less the same. 1 or 2 kids on each team who are actually college prospects.

Austin Longi had similarly absurd numbers in CT and he played at Greenwich (which plays in the biggest division I think).

Great to have Davis on the roster, he looks legit

When it comes to high school football you cannot mention CT and Texas in the same sentence. There is no comparison anywhere in anyway.

Actually what he said goes perfectly with this line of thinking if yours given what he was saying bout CT.

I coached high school football in CT.  Outside of the FCIAC, it leaves something to be desired.  Let's hope we're done signing CT players at this point.  Not the place we should be focusing.

Can't say I'm real familiar with CT HS football but I'd take another Biestek, Chapman or Rodrigues in a heartbeat

Michigan took 3 players from CT this year.

Fabulous.  I didn't say there were no players in state.  I said the level of play left something to be desired.  There have been two "blue chip"  players coming out of CT in the past 5 years and the state is ranked 36 out of 51 for producing D-I prospects.  If you expect to build your team with kids from CT, you're going to follow UConn on the road to irrelevance.

At 6'3 260lb, he's a pretty big dude as a freshman. Seemed to play the run and squeeze down the line really well. I wouldn't be surprised if he's shifted down to a 3 tech.

Really? I played in the FCIAC and i feel like the best players were always from hartford/new haven/up state. The FCIAC always had the better teams but nowadays most of the top talent plays LAX.

I agree though, CT isn't going to give us more than a few good players every few years.

So glad the staff is focusing on the lines
We need to be bigger and stronger up front.

IMO, on offense, you can get away with good, not great skill players when you have a killer line inf front of you.
A great line with someone like Chase in the backfield would be a death warrant for opponents.

I hope the strength and conditioning coach gets these guys faster and stronger.

+1  In addition I think our LB's and DB's become a lot better when the front four are dominant against the run and getting pressure on the QB without needing to send the house to get it.

Does anyone know where we stand on:
- 5th year players coming back?
- status of players coming off injury coming back?
- any players coming in from the outside (transfers)?
- any players leaving?
- do we have any more scholarships to give?

any info is appreciated.

Is this player someone that Fordham would be interested in?  His scholarship offer was yanked at the last minute by UCONN.  Jon Wholley's name is mentioned in the article.

We need to get in the game for this de-commit from uconn who is blowing up on the HC board. Jersey kid named Dickenson I believe.

check this kid out. K'Hari Lane, only FCS offers, and fordham isn't mentioned. 3.4 gpa, state record for TDs in GA. looks like a linebacker, but apparently can throw the rock with the best of them.

I'd like to think we could beat out URI and most other schools on that list. UPenn and Cornell are tough if he's thinking Ivy Leagues. Rutgers, Cuse and Buffalo if he's fixated on FBS.
