fantastic run of big men in last year's class as well those who have committed in this one (let's hope they all stick).  It will really be awesome if we have a squad capable of dominating in the trenches.  Love Coach B's recruiting focus here.

nice find poster fhlobr..

Tim DeMorat   Viera HS Florida  QB  6'4 188

had offers from South Dakota St and Wagner.  He just committed to us and thats probably a good thing as I assume he'll have a stellar senior season and would of likely got more offers as the season progressed.  (he is preseason honorable mention all state Florida)

from video looks   tall, lean with quick release on his throws and has pretty good straight line speed for a guy that size.  I assume our coaching staff will want him to add bodyweight and conitnue improving his arm strength this year..

I'm a huge Lombardi fan.  50 years later, most of this still plays, in my world anyway.  It's too bad that his philosophy and methods have no place with today's young people.  Mommies would go ballistic at some of his quotes as they are so foreign to life today.   I see many similarities between Lombardi and Belichick. I think Belichick flies under the radar better and people don't realize his methods are similar.

Back to topic! Grin

One of the fastest ways to get confirmed commitment news, hints on where coaches are recruiting, etc . . . is through Recruiting Coordinator Jon Guynes Twitter feed.

Here it is....

https://mobile.twitter.com/coachGuynes

Most of the coaches are as transparent as they can be.  Great source of news from their twitter accounts.

I'm guessing this is the same Austin King who announced he's leaving Indiana U. Redshirt Soph QB who was a 3 star recruit from Ga.

It's confirmed that Austin King has transferred to Fordham from Indiana.

He's a 6' 2", 190 lb. dual threat QB who was also recruited by West Virginia, South Florida and NC State. He redshirted for a year and then was on the roster for a year at Indiana.

Two Questions:

1) He's eligible  to play this season, correct?
2) How many years of eligibility does he have in total?

As a transfer from an FBS program to an FCS one, I believe he is eligible to play right away. And given his redshirt year, I believe he will have three years of eligibility.

Unless this kid is Nebrich good, my guess is he sits and absorbs the offense for most of this year and then he and Medlock compete for #1 in '18.  Now if he is Nebrich good, wouldn't that be a nice QB situation to have 😄

If you look at one constant thread throughout the Moorhead/Breiner era it's been FBS transfers at QB.   Over the last 5 years no PL school has gotten better play and production from the position than us. Of course having a decent RB helps (cough) but no one can deny that Nebrich and Anderson were/are exceptionally talented kids. Anxious to see how King works out.

Also provides fantastic depth at QB.

Wow this reminds me of what kept Pecora here. Good recruiting.  He still was a lousy coach. These young men seem impressive but right now it seems obvious to me that AB is way over his head in being a HC.  We only need to look at the job Joe M is doing at Penn State to see how the process should work.  Fine young man simply not ready for prime time IMO.

If we lose out does he come back? If he doesn't, how many of these fine players stay? I guess it would depend on the new coach. Dave Roach are you paying attention?

Time will tell if you're right about the comparison to Pecora, but 1) Moorhead isn't the head coach at PSU so there is no comparison; 2) Did you think Breiner was in over his head when his team went 8-3 last year? 3) I'm not sure how "fine" a lot of these players really are, particularly our linemen.  We'll see.

True Dat  Kaup. Only time will tell but on paper they look like a decent lot.  I happened to go to watch my Granddaughter march in the band at Pequannock HS last night and watched a very talented Football team go 6-0. Unfortunately they don't play anyone and are only ranked 60th in the state. But I'll bet there are several pretty good players on that team. The QB really threw the Ball very well. But will he even get a look from any D-1 schools? Don't know because of who they are. Unfortunate.
