Stats show good freshman year. Any info on last year? Did she play? Was she hurt?

I have not seen an announcement of this year's recruiting class, anyone know who we have coming in?

There is an announcement of the recruiting class today confirming Briana Jordan, the Tenn Tech transfer and Khadijah Gibson a guard who will be a freshman next year.  They join Samantha Clark who signed in the fall as this year's recruits.

Jordan will sit out next year as a transfer and have two years left to play, her father is former MLB player Brian Jordan and her mom, Pam Bryant played for Coach Gaitley at Richmond and apparently was their best ever player.

Looks like a solid class for the Lady Rams

Welcome to Fordham and I hope you have great success during your career at Rose Hill

Looks like Coach Gaitley is recruiting well.  Thing is, unlike Druzz, she can keep them there AND coach them up.  Could be an exciting team to watch.

I think you are right about what Coach is doing, the ladies do not get the same attention from us that the men's team does but Gaitley seems very professional and appears to be making real progress, the best measure is what happens on the court but better players do appear to be coming in the door.

One good thing seems to have remained from the Druzz, the marketing for the team appears to have been continued

I went to 5 or 6 Women's games last year and they are a great team to watch. Looking forward to this season!

Glad to hear that Strickland is going to see the court this year. She's had a challenging NCAA experience. She is a game changer though, and she could carry us throughout the year. If we have the right pieces around her, we could make some serious noise this year. Gaitley is probably one of the best coaches we have at Fordham.

Plus they have that top 100 rated recruit that Coach Gaitley brought in this year

The team flies under the radar for the most part on this forum but they does seem positioned for a nice season

Anyone have an idea what to expect?

Erin Rooney, the New Zealand national team player, is eligible now as well. She's a dynamite shooter and a very good all-around player. Coach Gaitley has done a fine job getting things turned around and I expect this season the team will show steady improvement, though the league is strong.

Is anyone aware of any early signings of Lady Ram players for 2013 by Coach Gaitley?  Good to see the team is off to a good start this season.

Gaitley is probably one of the best coaches we have at Fordham.
She's been doing a fine job.  Allegedly, her personality has clashed with some of the administrative staff (none that would ordinarily deserve such), but coaches are paid to win.  (Kinda like a great surgeon having a terrible bedside manner, maybe.)

I was very impressed with the new Coach.  I think she knows how to recruit and will be a welcome change at RH.  They have started the season 4-0 first time in many years.

Lady Rams sign 3 recruits in early signing period.  Two from NJ.

Former Ram, Jason Harris, was the AAU coach for one of the recruits.

An AAU standout with the Premier Sports Performance Academy, Burns' squad took home first place at the Deep South Classic in Raleigh this past April. Burns developed a key connnection to Fordham while playing for P.S.P.A., as her coach, Jason Harris, is one of the greatest players in Fordham Men's Basketball history.  Harris scored over 1,200 points during his career at Rose Hill, good enough for 19th on Fordham's all-time scoring list, and ranks atop the Fordham record books in both three pointers made and three pointers attempted.

She's is a true center.  With she and Clark, we'll have a lot of inside strength.  Hope we land her.

I am sure coach G knows that there are quite a few good players down the Jersey Shore area - Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

Padavano and Missry are top 3 point shooters.  Since they are from the Shore area I did get to follow them - don't know much about the one from VA.  What I don't see yet is size to complement Sam.  The players are all very athletic though and that could make up for some size.  Also, with Jordan able to play she should have more depth than this year.  Good luck ladies.

Quote from the article JOEB posted says
"Saint Joseph’s is one of the five schools on Veilleux’s list. The RHAM junior guard is also considering Fordham, Marist, Navy, and Princeton". Not UCONN.  Sorry Joe.
