This is an exciting day. I still remember reporting to my first camp. I could barely unpack before I was tossed into a weight room to test. I remember thinking... "We only have two-a-days? Thats easy! My High school had three-a-days!"

Yeah.. not so much... hahaha

Thanks Jay 92 - there is a real buzz around campus about the team.  Coach M, and I have heard this from many sources, is a real pro; he demands a lot from his kids (on and off the field), bringing a IA focus to the program.  Too often the perception of IAA is that it is not significant football, either skill or dedication wise, what a myth.  99.9 of student athletes could not play at this level.  Coach M, between scheduling and a determination, wants to show that football is, and will be, important to Fordham.

Yes, he still needs to get it done on the field, but spend two minutes with him and you know it will happen.

Again good luck to the staff and the kids ....

Coach M is very impressive. I think many former Ram footballers, including myself, are excited about the future of Fordham Football.

agreed about Coach M., as although early there is hope for the future and he has the support of former players and others.

I just hope he helps to market the team to the student body.  Masella made a minor effort, but we need much more.  It's sad that Julio can not help to create a buzz, so the coaching staff needs to do it themselves.

I think it would be a neat idea to contact the Gabelli School of Biz and as a project have some MARKETING MAJORS get together a create and implement a marketing Campaign to bolster support/attendence for Football and Hoops, etc.  It would be a "real, live learning expereince" far more interesteing and educational than reviewing a case study of some company.  Just an idea.

Does anyone know who the head of the Marketing Department is with Gabelli?  Contact info?
